Coney has been a photographer for over 25 years.   Her photography has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, the Belmont Lounge, New York, NY and she had a one-women show “Of-In Bryant Park”, in midtown Manhattan.  Her work has also been exhibited at Eyeporium Gallery and the Landmark Arts Gallery in Chicago.  She shot the still photography for the 1997 Oscar® winning short documentary “My Divorce” by Andrea Clark.   Julie holds a BFA in photography from Columbia College Chicago.  She also runs a wedding photography business.

Coney developed a love affair with the beach while living in New York City for over a decade.  Every summer she would escape the hustle and bustle of the city to the beaches of Fire Island, a place of serenity and beauty.  It created a life long passion of seeking out, visiting and photographing beaches and bodies of water all over the world.  She resides in Chicago.
